Fuel Flow Meter Calibration and Accuracy Checklist RFQ Worksheet

Use this worksheet to turn flow meter calibration and accuracy research into a quote-ready inquiry before contacting the sourcing team.

Decision intent fuel flow meter calibration checklist

Buyer and market

Product selection questions

  • What accuracy class should be stated for diesel, oil, kerosene, or AdBlue transfer?
  • Which calibration certificate, test photo, or nameplate evidence should be requested?
  • How do fluid viscosity, flow range, pressure, and installation direction affect meter accuracy?
  • What information helps avoid choosing a meter that looks correct but cannot meet the buyer's measurement expectation?

Quote-ready specification fields

  • Fluid, viscosity if known, flow range, pressure, temperature, pipe size, connection standard, and installation direction.
  • Meter type preference, display type, pulse output, batch control need, power supply, accuracy target, and calibration document expectation.
  • Quantity, destination country, document deadline, spare seals or registers, packing method, and whether the meter is for replacement or new installation.

Decision criteria

  • Start with the measurement purpose: inventory control, depot transfer, truck loading, workshop dispensing, or custody-adjacent use.
  • Match accuracy expectations to fluid type, viscosity, flow range, pressure, temperature, and whether the line runs continuously or in batches.
  • Define the required proof before quote release: nameplate photo, test photo, calibration statement, certificate request, or final inspection record.

QC and packing checks

  • Confirm meter body material, seal material, rotor or gear structure, display/register model, flow direction, and nameplate before release.
  • Review calibration-related photo or document expectations before promising accuracy-sensitive tenders.
  • Check thread, flange, display, sensor cable, register protection, and accessory packing before shipment approval.

Export notes to confirm

  • Do not request only a connection size. The same size can still be wrong if flow range, fluid, viscosity, output, or calibration expectation is missing.
  • If the buyer needs a formal certificate, state that early because document scope can affect supplier selection, lead time, and final price.
  • For replacement meters, send the old meter photo, nameplate, installation direction, pipe layout, and symptom or accuracy complaint before matching.
